Raleigh Bicycle help

Hi everyone, I recently bought a bicycle from a private seller. I would like to know more about my bicycle. I tried to research information online but no luck. I am just curious what year it was made in, etc.

Raleigh 'Transit'
Made in Canada

Welcome to BF!

Generally most Raleigh machines are good ones. Others here are more versed in Canadian models and I'm sure they will be along soon. Q?: what made you buy this Raleigh in the first place?

It was at a garage sale for $75. Great deal and great condition.

Thanks! I got to test ride it for 15 minutes around the block. Everything seems good.
It is a very simple bike. Single speed and coaster brakes.
Great for cruising

What do you want to know? It looks like a standard beach cruiser, about which there's not much to say. Late '80s or '90s, I'd guess. The Raleigh factory in Waterloo, Quebec closed in 2013.

If you were looking for a cruiser, you have one. Looks like a decent bike to me, and if everything works that was a good deal.
