Scheuer Futuramic Bike

Good MorningEveryone....New to the forum!! I love collecting and fixing up vintage items and this past weekend came across what appears to be a kids bike at local estate sale. It has the label SCHEUER on front and the model is called Futuramic. I am trying to find anything on this company and model but can't seem to find info on when bike was made...this company called Scheuer out of NY??...and thought maybe by joining the forum I would find some details. Thank you all! Rita

Hi, I'm looking for info also. I have one of these bikes since I'm a kid so my parents bought it for me maybe around 1960 in Jersey City, NJ. I just had tires and a new chain put on it and can't wait to go riding with my granddaughter. The label on the front says it was made in Belgium and the bikeshop owner said it was probably worth money. Let me know if you find out more about it. Carol

Good Morning Carol...and congratulations on getting the bike...your original bike ...ready for your granddaughter! I picked mine up at local yard sale and it overall isin good condition. I have a friend who recently started restoring old bikes but she is hours away and not truly familiar with this model Like you she said she believes it it is somewhat rare and could be worth a little bit of money. For me ...it was more about knowing about the history of the bike etc. You would think with knlwedge on web sites I would find info but I really have not...except for this forum. So I will keep you posted if I find any other info on model and in the meantime...like you...it appears I need to get new tires and chain as well. Rita
