Show Your Yard and/or Garage Sale Finds...
Had a bit of unexpected, but earnestly hoped for, fun this morning.
At one time, I would spend Friday evening mapping and planning out a Yard Sale route, in an effort to maximize number of Yard Sales attended, each weekend. In Thunder Bay, Yard Sales are run from June to September approximately, and start at eight or nine o'clock on Saturdays only. By two in the afternoon, the game is over. Ya gots to be quick to get a vintage worm here, believe me. Anyway...
I don't do much Yard Sailing anymore but I can't pass one up, as I am driving by.
I saw a YS on the way into the city, this morning(Saturday) and pulled over. A bit of haggling got me this all chrome Peugeot Challenger...
A short while later, I came upon another YS and snapped up a set of NOS vintage canvas and leather panniers which I will never use, but could not let the opportunity pass me by. The old guy that I bought them from said he brought them with him when he moved from Holland to Canada, many years ago...
Then, after morning breakfast with budds, I stopped on the way out of the city, and dropped another few schekels to grab up a near new set of 700c wheels, skewers, stainless spoke Araya alloy rim wheels and a box full of stuff, including a very nice old logo Cinelli stem, mustache bar and TTT handlebar...
Over the years, I cannot guess how many cool items and bikes I have snapped up at Yard Sales. How about anyone else and please keep in mind, we already have a thread for Dump and Dumpster finds.

Same brakes, shift levers, and cranks* as when I bought it for $20 at a yard sale, but obvious new paint, brake hoods, water bottle holders, derailleurs, and wheel set, not to mention my trusty 45K mile Brooks Pro, since replaced with a new maroon one.
____
* A prior owner had replaced the Agrati cottered steel crankset with Nervar Stars. I tried the Campags. shown but have since switched to a sealed bottom bracket and reinstalled the Stars. It is basically a ca. 1960 frame with 1970s transmission at this point.

My best ever garage sale find came in 2010 where I got a 1979 Miyata 912 for $25, which came to me like this

And ended up like this after a few more dollars

Economics forced a sale - wish I still had it.
