Trek 720 1983 24" Frame Geometry ?

Hey everyone, I am posting from South of France, I was always a fan of new generation trek 520 but since few days I am aware of vintage 720 series. And maybe the luck with me and I found one in France, still bit far away from my location but it would take only couple of hours to get there. The only problem is the unsureness of fitting.

The frame probably 24"

(yes probably because the owner kind a have no idea about what he or she has, the first reply was 63 cm, I asked for the serial number therefore I could be sure) wish not 25.5"

But still the case is, I do not know if am I able to ride this bike as 1.78 cm (5'10") tall cyclist, inseam is 84 cm (33 inches).

if anyone has the geometry details for this size or who has the same size bike could let me know please?

I have one. Mine is a 1982, but I don't think the geometry changed between the two years. It measures 24" from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube. The top tube measures 22 5/8" center-to-center. The standover height is just under 34" with 700x32c tires.

I am just about 6' tall.

My guess is: this bike will be too big for you. But good luck, maybe it will prove to be a smaller one! Let's hope.

thanks, I guess, will take the risk to go there and try at least and at last (:
The "touring bike might be bit bigger" sentence will drive me there

I'm a little taller than you are. I've owned and ridden a number of Treks including both the 1982 and 1983 Trek 720. I think you'd be better off with the next size down, the 22.5 inch or 57 cm model.

Eventually I should keep your advises, specially after read the 34" standover height. Its not easy to find one around Europe, I was quite happy to see one near by. Thanks for your quick responds !
