See, you could put it on the Ti bike to keep it weighted down so it doesn't go floating off!

And for real-ness, that thing shifts really nice. That's what I was riding on my Trek 720 before I 10 speeded it.

Ha! Usually I use a Brooks Pro and 36h clinchers, 3x laced, for that!

I don't want to break the rules of discretion, but the person I bought the bike from dealt directly with Passoni...I feel pretty confident in the information.
I could believe fabricating from sheet a tapered tube, (tooling to create could be costly) for use as a fork blade or stay. For round tubes, why go to all the trouble where commercially available seamless drawn tubes were around? The fork and bar and stem combo are enough of a tour de force of fabrication.

They weren't really around when Riva began...and you wouldn't be able to customize widths in the same way either. They weren't getting Merlin prices for these...they were charging a fair bit of coin.

Compared to the fork and stem/bar...rolling the tubes would seem rather more simple.

Very nice, both of them. Lots of cool details on both of them and neat about rolling the Ti tubing from sheets.

Must admit I've been searching for a Marastoni for some time, even looked when we were in Italy.

Yours, though, is simply a dream come true.

They aren't easy to find! Some of them have really neat features...there was one I really liked that had braze ons for center pull Universal brakes. I had never heard of such a thing.

Wow. 2 incredible bikes. How does the Passoni ride? How stiff?

Neat how both bikes have very cool weight weenie-ish brakes: Galli and Cane Creek BRS...

Hey, you must be "Drillium Revival" on Instagram. I figured whoever that was would be on this forum, but I always wondered who. Great photos on there, btw. I love when you post and it pops up in my feed.

I test rode Aaron's Passoni last night. It's lightweight. And the handlebars are super low, so all I felt was a pain in my back. I hadn't used downtube shifters in a few years, but that wasn't a problem.
