School me on pedals please
2 Attachment(s)
These were on a 90's road bike I purchased recently. Unfortunately I can't use this type of pedal due to physical abnormalities.
Are they still useful or sellable? Some nicks/scrapes but appear to me to be in decent condition. Comments please. |
Not one of the more popular designs, but some folks still use them, you can still get cleats for them, and yours look like OK condition.

Crank Brother's make those. My son put some new ones similar to those on his new Trek Emonde. He previously only rode mountain bikes and I think Crank Bro's are marketed toward mountain bikers, but the Candy's he got look pretty good on his road bike.
I doubt there is any value in them. If it came down to paying 15 dollars for those as opposed to the 54 dollars he paid for his new set, I'd buy the new. But I admit, I value used stuff low. |
Clipless pedals in general are mostly considered as expendable/disposable items. It's just because they get so beat up from use and most C&Vers that buy use components, cannot see themselves installing "somebody else's mess" on their nice bikes, even if the pedals are still functional. Most you might get from selling those pedals might be 10 bucks, most likely less.....Not really worth the time selling. I'd just give them away to a coop so somebody else can use them....

Thanks for the replies....will put them on the table at $10 next bike show.
