Help with Schwinn model

So I'm sure you guys hate these, but I don't have pictures.

Going back and forth with a seller who has an 80s Schwinn with Champion frame and fork blades. Can't get anything else from the seller other than murky pictures of the rear derailleur and what looks like a small spread rear cluster.

The rear mech looks like some sort of Shimano Z series.... Does anyone know what model of Schwinn would have come with Champion frame and forks with Z series stuff?

Early 80's Schwinn Tempo and Super Sports used Champion No.2 tubing and I've read some 80's Tempos came with Shimano Z-series components. Couldn't tell you what year exactly though. I have a pair of '83 Super Sport and'84 Tempo frames that are both Champion No.2. Only the Tempo still has the fork but it is Champion No. 2 as well. I'd say there's a fair chance it's a pre-'85 Tempo.

Woo! I think you're spot on, I just looked up an 84 Tempo and it looks to be the same color and decal color as well.

Thank you very much, how do you like the Champion frames?

Champion frames are thought of quite nicely around these parts.

Well shoot, I wish I had cash at the moment. For anyone in the New England area there's an 84 Tempo in Rye NH for 80 bucks

I don't have it finished yet, it's about halfway done. I keep robbing parts from it for other builds, it's already on it's 4th set of wheels and has yet to hit the road LOL. Doing a full RSX 3 X 7 group with STI and hope to finally finish it up in the next month or so. Here's a shot from earlier this year, decided not to use the Brooks, going with a black, yellow and white Adamo Prologue instead. Also swapped the tires for Continentals with narrow yellow sidewalls.

I have an '84 Super Sport with Champion #2 tubing. It isn't feather light (no boat anchor either), and the geometry is delightfully aggressive (it's a 25"/63.5cm frame), so it's a bit of a bulldog. Tight, responsive, goes when you say go. Sturdy. If the road punches you, the bike punches back. A lot like my MAX-tubed Marinoni. Good stuff, IMO.

I'd love to go snag it, but my fresh out of college budgets getting in the way. Just finished my Fuji Ace and ordered parts for the Tenax Super Sport I have.... My eyes are definitely bigger than my wallet.

I hope one of you guys on here gets it
