Colors Code
Hi guys , soon i'll get my new bike (founded on some sort of italian craiglist). Some parts are original and that is nice but sadly the previous owner decided to use a cheap paint on it. Since i don't know what kind of frame it is i'm starting to think to use a personalized color inspired to those old paints... So here my question:
What kind of colors do you recommend for an bike near 1955-65? Can you share the exactly paint color code (i want to use the same used as cars). Thanks! |

In the US in that era "candy apple red" was quite popular, as were two-tone paint jobs.
For my Austrian 1959 Capo Modell Campagnolo, I chose a stock metallic red from CyclArt.com -- it is a bit more maroon than the original color, and not a true candy. The two-tone treatment is correct for this particular bicycle. |
thanks for the great example.
