Nope, not the one with the scraped knee. Fall, as in autumn. Mornings are much cooler, a bit of misty fog in the bogs, leaves changing color. Trying to get a few more good rides before the heavy rains start.
My favorite time of the year.

Beautiful picture, gugie. I'll be taking plenty more pics as the leaves turn here in New England.
First hints of autumn:

You should recognize this bike, gugie...

The morning air is quite nippy, the grapes have been harvested, but the leaves still show a lot of green.

from yesterday's ride... a shot of a C&V barn with soybeans in front. For those who don't watch soybeans during rides, they change from green to yellow to brown in the fall.

Going back a couple of years, I do have a panoramic shot of a pumpkin field before sunset. Hard to show a panoramic shot in this forum very well, but let's see how it does.

Fall is my favorite time of year for riding (and pretty much everything else) too. Here's an early morning shot from a few days ago - the morning was cool enough for long sleeves and the light was amazing soft and diffused.

Great idea for a thread!

Taken today on the Centennial Trail - the leaves are beginning to pile up along some sections. 82 degrees!

Okay, it's got no bike in it, but I was out on a bike ride when I took it. It was September, 2013.
You know how when you press the shutter button on a digital camera you have to wait a second or two, maybe three, before it takes the picture? When I pressed the button, I only saw the heron in the foreground. I didn't see the white one in the background at all. The camera took the photo a few seconds later, just when she spread her wings. Lucky timing.

I moved to northern Il a few years ago. I used to appreciate the corn more than soybeans, but the color change in the soybeans this year really caught my attention. Seemed to happen so quickly, too!

Thanks. It's a parts bin project, based on a frame built for the Dutch brand "Union" by Miki. The aluminum fenders are unbranded and came off a cheap sports bike. I liked their shape, and they fit this bike. There were holes for lights, so I just mounted a couple of placeholders for the time being. If I keep the fenders, I may add a generator and wiring. Not sure yet, as they are somewhat noisy on rough roads, and there is some toe overlap.
