ARX Suntour 3 pulley derailleur

Anybody have a spare spring for this derailleur. I have a vintage Nishiki International with a broken spring. Sure would like to repair it because it is such a nice working derailleur.

I had a similar situation with a 3 pulley Suntour Lepree a few months back when it's spring broke. Fortunately I was able to find a NOS two pulley Lepree off EBay really cheap. Other than the cages, the bodies were identical so I could just put the 3 pulley cage on the new body. Seems to work great now.

I might have saved a broken ARX off a Raleigh that got backed into. If I have it the springs should be good.

I'm a fan of the 3 pulley Suntour derailleurs... but how often do these 3 pulley Suntours break springs?

I hear of the old Arabesque long cage derailleurs that lose spring tension, I very occasionally hear about 1st gen Cyclone- but now this is the 2nd time I've heard of a 3 pulley spring breaking... seeing as how they were only around for 2 years, and Bike Forums is an admittedly small sample- and the OP just joined to discuss the 3 pulley... but wow.

I know we've been down this road before but I broke a Cyclone MKII triple, after about 5 years of being ridden hard and put away wet. Not an easy part to find really.

I do have a broken ARX. Short cage 2 pulley, ZH date code. Broken off B screw mount, bent parallelogram and cage, broken upper pulley. The springs, both cage and parallelogram seem fine for donors, if they are the same.

The 2 pulley models pretty much won't work with one exception as described here. A 6 speed friction Sprint short cage spring does fit. Another hard gear to find.
