I have actually done that, sort of! I had a 1980 Holdsworth that I loved but was a bit short. So I gave it to my son, who fits it perfectly. But before I did that, I had R&E Cycles copy it in a slightly taller frame, with lugged 531 of course.

That was my thought when the person noted the odd gap visible after putting in and tightening the fixed cup.
