Show your 2017-2018 winter project
Now that Daylight Savings Time is over, what are your bike and non-bike projects for the dark days ahead?
I have a bunch of framesets to build, pics to be posted later.

I have a full plate (for me) this winter, all projects in different stages of completion. Projects listed from least work to most work:
(1) Miyata 210 - Bearings all repacked, fill-in wheelset while I get the old one cleaned up. Need new handlebars and to run cables and finish up.
Untitled by Joshua Paschall, on Flickr
(2) Diamondback Centurion Venture - Needs cartridge BB, wheels are halfway through repacking, headset needs cleaning/repacking, may swap over the 105 group I just got off of the next project.
Untitled by Joshua Paschall, on Flickr
(3) Centurion Dave Scott Ironman Expert - Big job here is the stuck seatpost, all bearings need servicing, if I do swap the group to the Diamondback, I'll have to piece something else together.
Untitled by Joshua Paschall, on Flickr
(4) Raleigh Super Course Mk II - Evaporust soak incoming, touch up bad chrome with chrome spraypaint, singlespeed conversion. Plan is to use the TA crankset I have on hand with the VO 50.4 singlespeed chainring. New flip/flop CR18 wheelset vs. converting my existing CR18 wheelset (I don't have tools for redishing the wheel so there are labor costs involved). Will have to figure out BB issues as well with the conversion.

'77 Schwinn Volare. It's in the storage unit till it lands under the xmas tree, and the waiting is killing me. But in the meantime I'm acquiring the items necessary for the refurb... that takes some of the edge off.

@AustinFitz: That thing is SO cool. And I'm pretty indifferent about mountain bikes. But dang! hahaha

I built this up as a test build, which convinced me that I love the frame, but I have little use for a race bike. Since none of the components are original, I'm going to redo this as a 650b with wide touring gearing.
Other than that, just maintenance on the other three bikes.

A few bikes already finished for winter riding, next up the true planned winter effort.
A very early Puch Burgmeister touring bike. Most everything came with it except saddle and DRs.

That bar tape is pretty recognizable. I think it’ll clean up nice, I just couldn’t ever find the time to get up that way. He had the best quality bike he had for sale at the lowest price. I guess the others were in better shape. Did he ship to you or did someone facilitate?

Not super vintage, but this 1995 Stumpjumper is my ambitious, long-term project this winter. Pretty gnarly condition, will be repainted and fitted with an early 00's RockShox Judy fork that will be rebuilt.
This Univega Gran Turismo wasn't impressing me as a rando ride, so it's getting converted to a flat-bar 1x8 cyclo-cross ride.
And finally I need to try to realign the fork on this Super Course. Maybe I'll get some dyno lights for Xmas, too...

Been working on the 1958 Rabeneick 120d for a short while. On my way to Jamaica, now, but the Rab will be my project for 2018. This is the test build, completed to ensure the bike is a good fit and has not handling concerns, such as a bent frame or fork set. When I get back from Ja, I intend a paint job, fresh art and a couple more period correct items..

My winter project is inbound now, and I've only seen photos so far. A 1997 Lemond Zurich - Reynolds 853. Currently has 105 group, will be completely gone over and the group will be replaced by Campy Chorus 10 speed with front triple. Will use some tubular wheels with Chorus hubs that I built for another Lemond. Most of the parts are also inbound, but I still need to find a set of 10 speed Chorus brifters with alloy blades. Also need to find a set of Campy skewers. I haven't worked out the bars or stem yet, may replace the headset but don't know yet.
With a little luck, should be in rolling condition by Christmas (2017).

1981 Schwinn Superior aquired as a bare frame in Sept. 2017. Did a quick "smoke and mirrors" build to see if it's a keeper. It definitely is.
Going to replace the stem and put slightly narrower bars on. Other than that, re-do the wheel bearings and wait for spring.
