I forgot, I have another black bike. Maybe that's an indication that I have too many bikes. Tommasini Super Prestige.

Here is my early 1980s Ross MTB that I keep at my parents' house in the USA.
Ross Suntour AGtech Rear 01 (3).jpg
The photo is terrible but it's heavily sun-faded gloss black and looks much worse than the pictures indicate. Tubing is probably mid-grade Ishiwata (27.0 mm seatpost).
This summer I sourced and installed the NOS Suntour AG Tech derailleurs that were probably original to the bike. Someday I'd like to find a set of the gold-anodized rims and hubs that it probably had originally.

1987 Schwinn Prologue.
"Top half" is as it was originally built-up with Suntour Sprint. Rear drive-train is upgraded to Ultegra 10 sp. w/ Dura Ace shifters. Dura Ace hubs.

I suppose that black bikes are my chosen vehicle for building a retro roadie.

May as well add this one. Black Pearl. Posted before, but here again since it's close enough to black I think.

I'm one of those guys who believes that function beats form nearly every time but, man, that rack looks out of place.

I think black might be my new favorite bike color. The old becomes new again.
