Sears Screamer shifter question.

if someone is familiar with the old sears screamers.

I have the mechanical bits of a 5sp shifter with the drag brake (no chrome body over it), and I'm thinking about using it on a cruiser project. I know the shifter originally worked with a 5sp derailleur, but I'm wondering if anyone knows if the detents would work with any of the 5sp internally geared hubs (sturmey , shimano, others)?

I'm also trying to keep an eye out for the three speed version of the same shifter for the same project (preferred since I know it's for an internal gears hub, unless by chance I can get the 5sp set up to work), but I'm not sure which 3 speed hub it was meant to work with. I found one very small pic and it looks like I'm seeing the shimano style shift mechanism on the end of the axle. does anyone know? thanks.

I had one years ago and it was a non detent, 5 speed, friction shift, derailleur bike. That could have varied other years. Roger
