Mellow Yellow!

I couldn't resist.

BTW, if you have the frame or bike handy most automotive paint stores in the US can computer match colors.

I am a Raleighphile, but am not familiar with this Team Banana. Am eager to learn. Can you post a link to a picture? (I know you need a few more posts to embed one). Thanks.

(I'm gonna put this right here... sorry, probably not much help on the color question.)

I am not so sure this is true. The two paint stores I approached both said the sample need to be flat, not curved.

YMMV.

Place I go to will paint chip match a spray can for less than $20. I you want an exact match you leave the frame, they do a best guess, mix a sample, paint and dry ona sample, adjust, and repeat until it’s dead on. Costs $50 on up.

Mine said the same, so we used an almost flat section at the top of the fork. On some bikes, the chainstay might be an option.

According to both places I checked, they needed a larger area than what could be found on the chainstay or top of the fork crown. Throw in the only place I could get a sample from is on the steerer due to weathering on the frame and I am SOL in this case.

Lots of info on Retrobike.co.uk worth a search.

I have a Raleigh USA frame I picked up along the way, hope to eventually build a replica of my own, I don't think many of the authentic Raleigh UK replica Team Bannana bikes made it here. Raleigh USA was a separate company at the time.
