Well, I'm glad neither of you got stuck doing it on your own. Good deal! Was it wet or dry on the east side?

My bike is still in the car in case tomorrow is dry, Stuart, so fingers crossed. I'll drop you a text around 10am tomorrow if it's looking good.

I think tomorrow will have the benefit of a fully dry day preceding it, so your chances should be good.

@RiddleOfSteel - another rider for your A rides on the eastside is @JReade.
You mean, as in another 63cm +/- frame guy?

I like the cut of your jib, sir.

You run 170mm cranks on your vintage steeds by choice or because that's all they ever made?

I run 175mm stuff, courtesy of restomodding or finding groupsets from the later '80s that made them that long because they got hip to the idea of really tall riders may want longer cranks.

170s can feel like flippin' hamster wheels with a less than ideal setup. Too constricting on the leverage side at times, though the knees appreciate it and spinning is easier.

175s are my normal, and feel good all the way around. Plenty of leverage and easy to spin at a decent clip.

180s feel quite long, and have mechanically more leverage (and mentally a LOT more), though I'll pedal slower of course. Knees notice it, but if you're good with it, they'll live.

172.5s are a nice balance between 170 and 175, having much of the leverage of 175s yet the knee-friendly spinning ease and speed of 170s.

I've been eyeing this Saturday because of the dry forecast, so count this newbie in.

Something around lake Sammamish. I'm going to be on a modern bike and I'm game for almost any route.

Pick a time and place to meet-up? I'll go along with whatever route as best I can.

It could be fun. Did not expect rain today, or rather, this evening. Hoping it will be dry for riders tomorrow. I could certainly be game for it as I was planning on moving two doors down but the unit is now not ready for at least a few more days. Dry day means '74 Paramount, though if DD wants to show up to the freeze-fest, the Masi is ready to go.

Eh, it rained a good amount over here. I'm probably gonna sleep in and see how it looks in the afternoon.
