Packaged up and ready for tonight's run to the PO and off to Deux Jambes, next victim... er um recipient!
Looking back at the end of March, beginning of April, Deux Jambes seems impatient!

Yes It’s true. I get anxious when I know life is sending a bunch of crap my way!
And here it is, a sneak peek into the BOC...
Its a lot heavier than it was last time it came through, and even then it weighed a ton! I’m sure we’re breeding resentment among the postal carriers out there.
A quick dig through and I’m quite a bit of interesting stuff. Better crap than last time around if I’m to share my honest opinion. However, today is the start of my work week, and the schedule is calling. I’m going to take what free time I can over the weekend to go through the box, see what I can truly use, and fit what goods I can in place of the take.
Paging @crandress and PMing for address. Looking forward to shipping out Monday

There was a good amount of crap in the box, and I took a little bit for keeps...
I also removed two rear derailleurs (not pictured) in order to create a little room for the put in. Both of those derailleurs were in the box last time I received it. So I figured they were both subpar for another rotation. One of them actually served as a donor for a pulley which the 600 Arabesque was missing. It and the other RD will go to the co-op.
Anyhow, the 29 lb. BOC is now heading across the country once again on its way to its next recipient @crandress

I was travelling to NYC when the box arrived on Thursday. I will go through it this weekend and get it out tomorrow. Looks like we need a new box as well. It's getting hard to tell it is a one rate box! And it is heavy! Here are the teaser pics...

Seeing the sneak peak photo of the BOC opened up, I’m reminded that I put a couple of items in there which I had intended to attach a note to but had forgotten to follow through. So I’ll make mention now...
First, you can see a drive side 600 crank arm in the top of the heap. It’s pedal threads are stripped, and needs a helicoil (threaded insert) to become usable again. The non drive arm is also in the box, and it’s threads are undamaged.
Secondly, there is a Simplex front derailleur, it’s clamp on delrin body has a minor crack forming near a bolt hole. It should be used for parts only.
My apology if these two items are too crappy for the box o’crap even. My thoughts were that someone may appreciate saving them from the dumpster. If that’s unrealistic, then I’d appreciate it if the first person who deems them true junk would in fact dump them.
Thans all,
Matt

Here is my recent box o’crap find in use. My first brifter conversion, just need to wrap the bars. Seems to be working just fine.

I removed a couple useless borked items as well. And I replaced the one rate box with a fresh one.

The box shipped out yesterday! The list is getting pretty short, anyone want back on?

I'd join right in again but may have to wait until after mid-June. If I join now I might end up receiving the box while away picking up my daughter from college.

The coveted BoC arrived in Port Angeles, WA yesterday afternoon. The obligatory teaser photo is copied below. I took a quick pass through the box last night and separated the crap into two piles. One is the "thanks, but no" pile. The other being the "hmmmm, I may be able to use this" pile. I'll be ready to ship this out no later than Friday morning and I've sent a PM to @Reco Very requesting a shipping address.

I’d love to join but I lost all my extra parts in the Harvey flooding. I’ve only got a few bits I took off an old bike I got for free from someone in the neighborhood. I love watching this thread though. Maybe someday. If Houston has bike swaps or co-ops or frankenbike events I never hear about them.

Chris, would you add me back to the list? That way I can take part in the @Andy_K garage-floor cleaning project. Thanks!
