It's February again, so it's time for a short month of red and pink bicycles.

I had one of those pink-gray Motobécane Le Champion bikes long ago. And I had it repainted gun-metal gray! I don't have pictures of it, before or after.

1965 Dilecta LeBlanc

Still wearing its original "candy apple" red, and fading to silver undercoat in places. Still a wonderful old French touring machine.

May we please have many more pics of an original (especially the fading to silver paint). Original paint is a big plus for me, even a bit mussed, not trashed (which may apply to the whole bike).

I think I got a DiLecta story from a BF member showing at a Puget Sound vintage show. Anacortes???

Not a bike, but red, and in middle of the fade (1993!) it's sort of pink: My 1993 George Longstaff barrow:

I may be able to save you some work. There's a thread on it here. Built in Italy by Biemmezeta. Quite possibly for Milanetti, and rebranded by Willi Mittelstadt for his house brand Levero.

I got this Trek 400T last fall at the former Memory Lane swap meet. The paint was in really good condition, needing only a few chips touched up. I swapped the drivetrain because i wanted to put a triple on my LeTour. I like how the Tri color looks on the red frame.
