peugeot cadre allege......who knows something about this?

I have a peugeot cadre allege and was wondering if anyone knew any history on these bikes. I think it was made in the late 70's.

Please provide more data and/or a photo. It is probably a UO-8 or similar lower-end steel-framed Peugeot, but do look for a Reynolds 531, Vitus, or other higher-end tubing pedigree.

yeah sorry about that, I wasn't very clear with the description,it is white with checkers on the bars and the lion on the front is raised(not a flat sticker like others I have seen) the words "Cadre Allege" are the only other words I can find on the frame besides peugeot and it has simplex gears and weinmann(?) brakes. (I cant seem to get my picture to work on here)

Looks to me to be a common bike-boom era Peugeot. Steel rims, I'd guess, and perhaps steel handlebar also. Shifters on the stem are typical of low-end bikes.

It probably is a smooth and enjoyable rider, make a nice and interesting commuter.
