I know it's not the style you show, but my wife uses this and likes it. Feels okay from my test rides but of course it looks a little out there.

Off topic a little, but I loved my Bontrager Grippytack I had on a bike I just sold - they even make some black with accent colors in the holes like you show, but alas no celeste. Wish they did - I'd pick up a set for my Bianchi!

I was peeking around for a white/Celeste option too (now that you sold me a white turbo to possibly replace my old faded celeste turbo) and somehow came across this. Again not explicitly what you showed or as classic looking, but something. On Amazon as well. I’m intrigued by the look, not convinced I’ve fallen head over heels though. Almost prefer a more abrupt fade or celeste carrying through further to the top.

Hmmmm..triplizer. Great Idea! With my newly continued education of bike stuff I find myself being sucked into an ocean of inter-related details that I never knew or cared could exist. Must escape.. before....it's.....too......late........

Okay, bumping this once before I quit and try another tack. I thought people would be clamoring to take me up on this one--shows how much I know, I guess.

Funny thing, I wouldn't mind those Cyclone sidepulls myself, but I don't have a pair of Racers - and everything I'm building at the moment requires long reach. A combination of incompatible desires!

Jon,
i have not been able to get into my co-op now for close to 23 weeks. I'm sure there are a few calipers in there but just unable to access the place. Week 25 of covid lock down and no relief in sight. Argggh! Smiles, MH

I actually considered taking you up on this, went to look for the MAFAC'S, found 3 sets of Suntours and realized I need more MAFACS as a couple of builds are headed in that direction.

My 17/19T Dos Eno for your 20/22 Dos Eno?
I've realized that the White Industries Dos Eno 17/19T freewheel doesn't work on the bike I got it for - rear-opening horizontal track ends and rear brakes are very limiting - so I'd like to trade this unit to someone who has a White Industries Dos Eno in the 20/22T flavor. Anybody?

Tektro long reach in silver I am looking for but only if they are nutted. Does not have to have pads.
Lots to trade, if I can sneak it away!
Thanks!

(all taken care of)
Found a few online options but figured I'd ask here first. Not sure what I have to trade of comparable value but if you're looking for anything in particular let me know.
Edit: Got what I need, thanks!
ISO Campagnolo Doppler Retrofriction Shifters A271 (C-Record era retrofrictions), for braze-on mounting.
Edit: I think I have the BB spindle sorted out
ISO Campagnolo Italian Athena Spindle (116mm) or complete BB D0H0 (early C-Record era).
Thanks!

Big frame for medium one or ??
BUMP! Here’s hoping there is someone looking for a smooth riding, large frame for themselves or another and has something smaller to trade. Since the original posting I’ve done a solvent wipe down and found just a bit of surface rust where the paint is chipped or flaked. The frame set package includes original Simplex RD, DT shifters/cable guides, the French threaded Stronglight BB and Phillippe bars with Atax stem, plus a Sachs Huret FD and some sturdy Huret DT friction shifters. I also have a DiaCompe center-pull brake set with quick releases in the road levers that I’ll include if the trader would like. Sorry, someone already snagged the rest of the French parts.
I'll try to get some pix posted this weekend.
Thanks & regards,
Van

Hi folks,
I've been contemplating building up a vintage sports tourer with a decent quality frame from Japan or Taiwan. I've collected a bunch of vintage Suntour, Diacompe & SR components for this project.
Since the "Exchange-a-Frame" thread appears to have stalled, I'm reposting the following:Because of my penchant for salvaging vintage bicycles, the bike co-op that I volunteer at has offered me a 77 or 78 Peugeot PRN10E frame set. I've done a solvent wipe down. It's clean and straight, but a little rough with lots paint chips/scrapes and some surface rust. The frame no dents or no visible dings. It’s been stripped of major components; Stronglight 49 crankset and Mafac Racer brakes. The headset is French and I assume that the BB is also. Currently, only the fixed cup is installed, but it rest is probably somewhere in the shop bins and I’ll try to find it. I saw the Atax stem and Phillippe bars on a shelf. They are corroded, but should polish up. It has one of the all metal Simplex RDs (Prestige?) on it and those nifty shifters with the plastic boots. I have a Sachs-Huret FD if you would like to keep the shifting French. Also, have some DiaCompe center pulls that I would throw in if needed
I’d take this on and build it up with some bin parts, but at 62cm it is way to big for me. As the header says, I’d like to trade it for something of similar value, but smaller. I would prefer a chrome-moly frame with “forged” dropouts that was designed for 700C wheels. Seat tube CTC 54-55 and top tube 54-56. The only critical thing is the sizing.
If you are a tall person interested in building a frame like this as a commuter or beater, PM me your e-mail and I’ll send pix and answer any questions.
I'd like to work with a forum member on this rather than deal with the on-line sites.
Thanks & regards,
Van
