I have aluminum rims in both 27” and 700c which may help your situation. I have hubs. And I also have a small amount of various other non-wheel related components left if interested. Let me know...

Thanks!

I've added a few photos of the SunTour VT Luxe. Don't know if this is the version you are looking for or not. Sorry for the poor photo quality.

But. I am interested in the wheels, rims, and hubs you have for a trade. See my previous post for the photos of the wheel I have, in case you have in

terest there.

How do we typically go further? email, or just keep going back and forth on this thread?

As turns out a derailleur was offered to me within a day of posting. I bought it. Sometimes you gotta act quick in the buy/sell/trade world here. So I’m no longer in need of one, but thanks for posting pics. Perhaps someone else will be lhere looking for a Vx GT Luxe.

Anyway, if you’re interested still. I can offer you a set of rims and hubs for a reasonable price. Feel free to send me a private message.

ISO a matching (27 or 700c) set of lesser alloy wheels that I can put on my Peugeot UO8 project. Looking to use tubes and a free wheel. As previously posted, I'm hoping to trade this 27" front wheel for that matching set. What I have is a 27" tubular Fiamme rim laced to a Campagnolo large flange with round holes. The locking nut says CAM 72. Also, this wheel spins almost perfect. There are some rim scratches and it will need to be dressed a little. But I think this really is a quality vintage set-up. Hopefully, worthy of the trade I have in mind.
See post #1017 for a few other items I might have to add to the trade.

I'm also looking for some sturdy bottle cage clamps. I had bought some of the Velo Orange ones, but I'm not terribly impressed with how sturdy they are. I'd prefer something French, but not too picky. Nothing too bulky though

For a 1976 Motobecane Grand Jubile. I didn't have the top tube clamps, and somehow lost the chainstay cable stop
i have a chainstay cable stop you are welcome too if still looking. Don’t have the fixing bolt or nut.

From some orphaned parts out of my son’s shed. Amazing how this forum can make you a pack rat. This is why I grabbed them.

What width are you looking for? And you’re probably looking for better condition than what I can offer. Note the nasty little scratch across the shield logo. BUT just in case... these measure 39 cm c-c.

No levers to offer unfortunately.

I've got a pair Alhonga dual pivots sidepulls, silver, nutted mounting that I think are 57-75mm reach if you've got any really weird Shimano junk.

  2. A 170mm NDS crank arm with English threads that reasonably matches a Stronglight 104 crankset. Picture attached. It does need to have the Peugeot stamping or to be Stronglight. I’m building a 1980 Peugeot mixte for my wife and got a great deal in the drive side crank with rings. I’d like to set it up looking somewhat correct. Have other arms to trade plus some vintage stuff.
Thanks and regards,Van
I have two Sugino 110 silver 3/32 rings. A 44t in 8/10 condition, and a 45t in maybe 6/10. PM me an email and I can send pics.

And I have three or four 170mm drive side cranks that need similar NDS arms: Campy, SR, Stronglight. Someone should just make nice looking spares and sell 'em for $15. They'd sell a lot.

ISO:

Building an '76 Eisentraut for loaded touring, and need the following...
  • panniers - should work well mounted low on f/r Nitto Campee racks.
  • saddle bag - must be at least "vintage" in vibe, Ostrich to match my handlebar bag would be great!
  • front derailleur - to match well with a Vx Luxe, and that could handle more than 18T drop on a half-step triple Cyclotouriste
  • Suntour stainless cable housing - for bar end shifters
  • non-aero hoods - to fit early Superbe levers
  • pads/shoes - to fit early Superbe calipers
  • bell - brass or copper (Crane or... ?)
  • Spécialités TA - metal dust caps

Also need a few bits to complete my list for a separate 1981 custom frame build...
  • leather toe straps - black, red, white or natural (Cinelli, Campy, Ale, or... ?)
  • toe strap buttons - branding to match with straps ^ ^ ^
  • Cinelli bar end plugs - winged logo or otherwise, black, red, or white
  • Columbus SL & Campy decals - appropriate for an early 80's frame
  • Silca Impero pump - black, red, white, or silver, to fit 55 cm c-c top tube, w/ metal Campy pump head
  • pads - for NR/SR brakes
  • lightweight "sporty" vintage saddle bag - to blend well with or compliment a black, white, and red colour theme

HAVE:

I can buy, or trade. Some items I have on hand to offer in trading are:

Superbe short reach calipers & levers, Gran Compe areo levers, Tricolor hubs, other various hubs, MA2 Mavic 36h rims, Matrix 700c Sonic anodised rims, other various rims (pairs, and orphans), freewheels, brand new in box never used contemporary Dia Compe GC610 centerpull brakes, 1984 53 cm Trek 520 frame & fork, other 70's frames in 56 to 57 cm (French, Japanese, British), Cinelli 1A 120 mm stem, SR Custom stem & bars, Et cetera...

Here is the housing I would recommend that I used on the Silver 75 Paramount when I added the bar ends, then bought more for later.

It has unobtrusive to me clear casing on the outside which protects the frame and has a more finished look to me as well as being sealed to keep moisture out.

Nice, I see your points made too. But that shipping time! So Van, I take it that the housing flushed up nicely to your barends, no ferrules needed?

Absolutely, nice stuff, price is more than fair, order it up if you want and I can send you some if time is a concern. It really looks the part and is probably better quality than the original. The ship time wasn't as bad as stated, maybe 3 weeks. I'll try and get some pics later. There's only 1 set left right now so....
