Kurt/cudak 888,
I buy a diamond infused rubber bit that fits in a Dremel tool, that polishes out most imperfections in the races. As for spindle; I use 600 grit wet or dry paper to polish the races on the spindle until they are mirror finish smooth. Works for almost all minor imperfections in the races. Smiles, MH

If you still need some, I have a few options for toe clips. I have a couple of different pedal sets with metal clips and leather straps (I’m not sure of brands offhand) and a set of NIB Trek ATB plastic toe clips with nylon straps.

Thanks for the offer! I did just buy a set of NOS Christophe Speciale metal toe clips and leather straps on eBay. They should be arriving today.

CLB hoods
ISO:
A pair of vintage CLB hoods (don't need levers). NOS or used with plenty of life left. CLB marked, not interested in Cane Creek, Rustines, or other new products (nor vintage non-CLB products). Gum/caramel/brown only (no black, white or other colors). Prefer the more translucent looking caramel color, but if I can't find those, I might consider the slightly darker and less translucent look. Here are some images...

Been tied up and exhausted today so haven't been able to get to your PM's yet, but that's a thin-cup spindle. Bearing races sit much farther outwards.
The one I'm looking for is 114.5mm from end to end and marked 68-SS only. They were made with both the globe logo and the shield logo depending on the era.

This may be a long shot, but we'll see what's out there. Apparently, the Campy bottom bracket from a project I got consisted of two different types of cups - standard issue on the drive side and racing issue on the non-drive side. The bottom bracket worked fine, but I replaced it on that project. I'd like to use the BB on my 1974 Raleigh International project. but I'd also like to have a matched bottom bracket. So . . . does anyone have one of the appropriate cups for either side of the BB? If you have a similar mis-matched BB, maybe we could do a trade? Or failing that, is there any reason (other than consistency) that I shouldn't just use what I have for the project? any help is appreciated!

Post a picture of the spindle. Depending on what you have, you should get a pair of one or the other. The cup on the left is a "thin cup", used on 70's/80's Record pista and triples, and on 70's/80's Gran Sport. The right on is a "thick cup" with rifling - used on Record Strada.

That's for a Sugino Mighty Competition crank. I think those took the equivalent of thin cups, but I'm not sure. Hey, if it's working, it's working. . If there's enough thread exposed on the adjustable cup, then I'd say no need to change it.

@ddeand, can you post a photo of the backside of your crank? If it's pre-CPSC, finding a completely new BB would be your best bet. If post-CPSC, finding bits to go with the drive side cup would work.

ISO freewheel 28 tooth Shimano sprocket
My son just added a child seat to his Raleigh International...first test ride was very good but he needs easier gearing to get around his hilly neighborhood.
I am swapping out the NR rear derailleur for a Suntour VGT luxe and trying to modify this Shimano six speed MEGARANGE freewheel with a 34 tooth bailout to a smoother transition. So I am a losing the 21 tooth cog AND trying to find a 28 tooth sprocket to slip in...anybody have one to spare? If not I will just buy a new one and take it apart.
This will give us a 13-15-18-24-28-34. I think this could work real well for what he is doing.
I suppose I may need a longer chain as well. I will buy that.

Suntour XCD 6000 pedal dust cap
From Velobase
Looking for a plug-type dust cap to fit a 3/4 inch hole in these pedals. I have panel plugs that might work ok, but the correct plug is flanged at the base for a better seal. Plugs of the same size for other Suntour pedals from the late 80s to early 90s will likely work.

Have: Sturmey-Archer X-RD3 36H hub, virtually new. Got it for a project, only to realize that I still want more than three gears.
Want: Some IGH in the 5-8 speed range or thereabouts that can make my 1980 Raleigh Sports more practical - the Sturmey RX-RF5 was my first choice. Willing to add more trade bait to make this happen.

Would love this, but have settled on an 8 speed for my Gugified Gran sport. I love my 5 speed drum brake hub on my Gazelle.
