Thanks. I'll look at the Indy swap meet for a post (I'm not even sure exactly what I want), and probably go to eFray for those caps.

A guy at Brazen wanted 20.00 each for used Suntours. I could have gotten NOS Campy for about that.

ISO:

Left aero brake lever - Shiman0 BL-6403. Mine rattles really bad. The right one is fine. Chrome finish like the photo below.

Hmmmm.
All of the 6403's I've seen have had the gray finish. Sure that's what they are? Kinda look like BL-R600's, which use the same lever body but different blades.

I was a little surprised too. Pulled the hoods back and they both said 6403 on them.

ISO, one 116 BCD 3-bolt chainring for 3/32 chain, 39 teeth or fewer. A critical requirement - either needs the bolt holes to be threaded, or would also need bolts and threaded receiving ends:

this concept, but sized to fit openings of the bolt hole.

Also, ISO: a sprung leather saddle (b-72 or flyer-ish) that isn't beat. Would prefer black.
a clamp on double cable stop
a clamp on double cable guide

I have... stuff.

Merci mille fois, Monsieur. No preference on brands for the cable stops/guides. Would happily use whatever is available. The bike it's going on is a gold 60's Lenton Sports that I'm setting up as a 10 speed for my wife that will hopefully retain the vibe of the era. The saddle is going on another bike (the same one as the bars).

You should have kept one of the Sugino Mighty's to go with the Cyclones.

If I’d known what the future held (Eisentraut) I might of kept the Mighty Tour. The quest for a Campy SR is with the Gary Hale in mind. Aside from a seat post it’s the last component that bike needs before the rebuild.

Straight, fluted, one bolt version. The post that’s in the tube now is 27mm. What I need to do is spec the tube with calipers to see if it’d take a 27.2 mm post. I know I can shave a post or ream the tube if I have to, but I like to avoid that as much as possible.

My Sutherlands is telling me that the chainrings you have are 106, vice 116 BCD. The distance between holes on 116 BCD is 101 mm.

The lower Huret double stop, and the SunTour guide would definitely form the combination I would need for the old bike. We can take details off the thread here.

Thank you!

I'm pretty sure TA only had one extractor size (specific to TA), as opposed to Stronglight which went from a proprietary size to standard 22mm in the later years (at least on the mod. 99 crankset).

At any rate, I think I have a set to to trade and likely those rings. Need to check. Please PM to remind me.

Are you looking for sidepulls or centerpulls? Depending on the era, the latter would likely be period correct and super easy to find at any co-op. Short of that, a medium reach set of sidepulls?

ISO Shimano Tri-Color 8-Speed DT Shifters

Hi folks,

I’m looking for a set of Shimano Tri-Color 8 speed down tube shifters. About 1.5 years ago, I acquired a 1988 Paramount 50th Anniversary Edition. It came with a full Tri-Color group right down to the pedals w/toe clips. However, it is has Tri-Color brifters, which as I understand it, weren’t released until 1990. I don’t know is the frame set was a late build, or the brifters were an upgrade, While I prefer using the brifters, I’d like the OEM parts to keep it accurate even if I don't currently use them. I realize that this group not as popular as Dura Ace or Campagnolo, but it’s the way it came and it’s a regular rider.

For trades I have a small collection of vintage parts and access to more. Just let me know what you're looking forThanks & regards,

Van

ISO: silver quill stem that's 110mm and for 26.0 bars. Preferably Nitto since I have Nitto bars, but open to others. -17d and don't need much height. 100mm or 120mm also might work
