Vintage Trek fever 🤒 lately

Over the weekend I was fortunate to pick up three bikes at $50 2000 Trek 2000 alpha SL blackberry color, 1993 Trek 930 SHX, custom built Access XLC mountain bike with shimano LX. I was geeked up to pickup this deal and this year so far I have pickup total of for Trek.
The 930 shx will need to replace the shock and 36 chainring. Other wise this mountain bike is ready to roll.
The 2000 alpha SL just need to be clean up and lube. I’m going to have so much fun with this one.
The mystery trek was finally solved, it 1983 640 and in the process of removing the black paint from the around the headbadge. Under the black paint is red background, this a slow process. This going to be a slow project to restore the 640.
Hope you guy enjoyed the pictures. Now here also my duo pictures of the 1991 and 1993 930 single track

Very nice score. Yeah I went through a Trek phase. I picked up 5 vintage Treks in the space of 2 years:

1978 Trek TX 900
1979 Trek 510
1982 Trek 720
1984 Trek 610
1994 Trek 950

They're all great bikes.

1983 720. (thanks Miguel)
1985 500
1985 770

It's an addiction.

Yes I do, both an '82 and an '83,

I'm, ahem, the original owner of the '83 and I rode it across the US in '97. The others I picked up in the last 2 years because I've been spending too much time on C&V drinking the kool aid.

I have the Trek fever and the only cure I know is a 640! I have one 640 frame and am looking for another (21 inch)! The 640 is my favorite Trek so far.

Awesome stuff! Looking at picking up an old carbon tube Trek frame to build up from a buddies warehouse collection. If I can talk him out of it.

I love the old Treks. I really can't say why but I search "vintage trek" on ebay more often than anything else.

I had less than 50% so I hold out hope of finding a nearly complete example someday!
