Asking for more than $100,000 in court, a Turkish woman claims her husband is “literally in love with the bike”
”This is not an ordinary attachment, he is literally in love with the bike,” she said in her claim.
Instead of paying attention to her, Yağmur argued, Burak instead passes the days working on his ride. He apparently sets it up in the living room, cleaning and fixing it on a daily basis.
“My husband always spends time with his bicycle. He has a different kind of a bond with it,” Yağmur said, suggestively.

As long as she's not asking for the guy's bikes, it's all good right?

Not the first and won't be the last. However, hopefully not mechanophilia.

Still learning
My sister divorced because her ex had a Porsche obsession. Flipped through 7 new Porsches, mostly leasing, during 3 years of marriage. He wasn't making Baseball $$$$.

Let's wait and see if she gets the divorce on those grounds and how much she is awarded. I wonder if he countered with her having a pastime addiction that drove him to spending increased time on cycling. It's rarely one sided.

Let's hope for old Burak's sake that the judge is a cyclist, as well as the members of the jury! A fellow cyclist would understand, especially if the wife is a fugly nightmare.

Maybe she should have put some dirt and grease on her body, put a nice bike chain around her neck and laid on the living room floor more often?

This is what I am thinking as well. Sometimes, it really is one spouse going off the deep end, but a lot of the time, it takes two to make something like that happen. Purposefully bringing a bike into a primary area such as a living room and cleaning it is, to me, a strong counter move to an initial move/action on her part. I think that we may not hear about this story again, though we'd all like the closure...or at least a picture of the bike.

If only we would take as much care when choosing our partners as we do when choosing our bikes.
I mean we hardly get any threads asking for "which one to get?" or "I saw this at the local whatever, should I go for it?"

Too many nights spent greasing the bottom bracket on the bike.
