I am not asking for bikerider007 to be out of pocket.
I am asking for a lead to be able to repurchase the bike. At this point I am just really happy to have found my bike again. I live in Los Angeles.

I know @Bikerider007.

I would think he will do the right thing. If he just needs a soft case, I have one he can have, cheap.

No sentiments involved.

Memories are priceless.

You can’t make this stuff up! This is too cool, bike needs to reunite with owner. It is a long shot but who knows? I have read stories like this about classic cars , but not a bike. Joe

Since I haven't heard from you, I will share my story here.

I bought this bike with my grandma at 13 years old at a bike shop in a small town in Germany called Calw, after saving up for a long time, washing cars/cleaning rooms at my mom's BnB.
That is 21 years ago now. I use to take this bike with me everywhere. When I started modeling and asked to move to NYC. I bought the bike bag to take it on the airplane with me.
So we off we went to New York City.

Then years later, in 2006, I moved to Los Angeles. Where in 2010, I met Shanelle Baty, also knowen as Otep. Three years later, we ended our relationship badly.
And when I try to get back my bike, among other things, she refused to retund them to me. Till only recently, when we began to speak again, she gave me back a few things, and when I asked about the bike, she told me someone broke into her garage and stole everything, including the bike.

Now a year later, I find my bike turn up on this website. Which got me extremely excited because there seems to be a chance I might be able to get it back. Because why would I come across this?
I do believe in the universe and karma. And every lie will be revealed at some point. And here is hers.

I ask you Bikerider007 could you please return my bike to me? It means a lot to me. It was one of the first things I bought as a child with my grandma, who is no longer with us.
It has a lot of sentimental value to me. Wouldnt you want something that belongs to you, be returned.

I hope you find it in your heart to contact me and help me get it back.

Thank you.

Djosefin
Djosefin, I really hope that you can get your bike back and thanks for sharing your story here with us.

I will send a private message to Bikerider007 so that he is aware of this thread and your story. I see he was on the forum just a couple of days ago so we should be able to find out if he still has your bike or where it may be.

Wishing your the best for success!

Long week, unfortunately I sold and was looking for info earlier, but will have to dig more tomorrow. I did just message Djosefin, I don't use my IGmuch so I hope it's her. At first I thought this was a joke so I did not plan on responding, and speedoflite messaged me.

My collection passed my self imposed imit, so I moved about 4 bikes that did not fit my style earlier this year.

Bad thing, I think it's somewhere back east now. Good thing, I sold for not much over what I paid as I needed to make room. Hopefully he will be reasonable as his attraction was the OTEP tie in. I would have just given her the bike, I get it's part of her childhood.

I am pretty thorough and feel a bit bad I didnt reach out to her. I did message OTEP on FB some time ago and got no response.

Looks encouraging, now! @Djosefin and @Bikerider007 have both posted within the same day and are only one State removed (LA, CA and AZ) if this guy "back East" still has the bike from "earlier this year", then I'm watching this thread for a happy ending!

I had a cool bike stolen from where I worked in 1976.
there is a place where those looking for info on the brand might run across the notice of it- in general terms even less save ebay - which I look at just in case.
if it ever shows up- I will undoubtedly have to buy it. Even at "market" I would be happy- even if it was the original thief.

Any news on this front? Have@Djosefin and @Bikerider007 connected and tracked down the bike? Will a fashion model and her prized childhood companion find each other and ride off into the sunset? Stay tuned....
