Which Campagnolo BB cups are these?
To what group do these mystery cups belong?
https://photos.smugmug.com/Other/Roc..._DSC1815-L.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/Other/Roc..._DSC1816-L.jpg French thread. Rifled holes. Inside each cup, on either side of the bearing race, are black plastic or hard rubber rings. I can guess that the larger ring is designed to mate with a plastic sleeve to protect from water inside the bottom bracket shell. Does the smaller black ring mate with a similar ring on the axle? Thanks, Brent |
I think you are messing yourself up. Those look like Super Record or Corsa Record cups- both were aluminum with pressed in races, where the races were not ground they appear black oxide. Time for a magnet test. The issue I think will be a matching spindle - ti super record with the pressed on steel races or the even more rare Corsa Record- both take 3/16" ball bearings

I should have mentioned that. Where I messed myself up was in thinking the oxide was plastic! Thanks! |
