Quill Stem Options?

I have a 1990 and I need a new quill stem as the handlebars slip and makes it unsafe to ride. I currently have Cinelli bars and Cinelli XA stem currently on it and love the look. I've heard a lot of bad things about the XA stem, so I am looking into other period options from any other companies. I like a sleek look, but it's before my time, so I don't know what would be a good option. 110mm is my current stem length, so I would like a model that makes a 110mm. This is not a looking to buy post, just trying to see what period correct options there are.

Thanks in advance!

The brain dead answer is Nitto. Their stems are as nice as you want to pay for. The top end, the Pearl, is as nice (and probably better machined, accurate, etc.) as any stem made. Most of Nitto's stems are measured like everybody else's. but note: the Pearl is measured handlebar center to intersection of stem centerline and steerer centerlinr. So, take the Pearl named dimension and multiply by 1.08. (A Pearl 12 is a Cinelli/TTT 130.)

Google Nitto Pearl. It doesn't look like yours; more like an older Cinelli. Web photos do not do it justice. In your hands it is a knockout. Especially when you can see all the machining detail normally hidden by bar and steerer. In production and probably will be for a while. They come both 25.4 and 26.0 mm dia.

What have you heard about XAs? I've never heard any issues - popular stem.

The bar diameter is the rarer 26.4mm, so your options are Cinelli 1A or rarer Mavic stems. Later Cinelli stems were 26.0, so shop carefully.

I've heard that since the logo is embossed that they are prone to stress cracking in that area, as well as being loud and having road wobble (haven't experienced) at higher speeds. I LOVE how it looks, but after hearing the stress cracking at the logo from some people it makes me a bit weary since I put a lot of pressure on the stem since I ride really aggressively.

I just ran across the Cinelli 1R stem, it would go well with my blacked out look I've gone for my bike, but I haven't heard anything about it, is it a good stem?

Are you talking about the logo on the front of the XA stem?? If you are, it is close to the same as what's on the 1R, with the XA having more material under the plastic black Cinelli logo disc as it is not punched through (except for small holes for locating rods at the back of the disc.) like the 1R, so should be stronger at that area than the 1R, but maybe the forcing from the split clamp design might still cause it to crack, unlike the 1R that has a clamp are without a split on it (a continuous ring around the handlebar)...

Modolo stems were a concern during this time as well. But then it was thickened in the bend. The X Eras - X-Setra - Q-Even generation has been designed for this. But it's almost black.
3ttt Evol and Record 84 are also from this period and not just in black versions. The Pro racers had to do it in the meantime.
