And if you haven't read squidpuppet's treatise on Compass tires, you owe it to yourself.

My Jamis Aurora is classic because its not made out of carbon molecules.
I trust that copper brown is somewhat between brown and gold.

1972 Supercycle (Raleigh) in gold. Bike has been dubbed "Golden Glow" Express after a local beverage.

I looked high and low, far and wide for a large volume 100% slick gum wall. Almost impossible to find. I'm an anti-tread guy. Those are the truly beautiful Specialized Fat Franks. 45mm wide and 100% slick. I was over the moon to find them.
They lasted two short rides and off they came.
They are like riding though molasses, uphill, fighting a brutal head wind. I don't know if it was the weight or the construction/rolling resistance, but it felt like I was dragging a Sherman Tank behind me. Coasting was more like rapid deceleration.
They were replaced with Compass tires.

Speaking of brown Super Courses, @sailorbenjamin passed this on to me, and I passed this on to my friend (pictured). I finished getting it ridable, providing long reach dual pivot brakes. This launched a bike courier career for my friend. Unfortunately, while my was on the job, someone stole the bike.

Here's my 1967 Carlton Flyer after its first ride here in Sweden. It hasn't changed much, and I still love to ride it.
Flyer_in_Lund_trädgård_01.jpg
The chrome on the fork was rough when I bought it, so the plan has always been to have it rechromed, have some dents repaired, add bottle mounts and some other details, have it resprayed and build it up as a geared bike. It's only been six years...
flyer10.jpg
Edit: I have just checked, and after 4 years here, I not only have NOT rotated the rear valve stem to align with the tire label, apparently I haven't moved it at all! I guess I've been riding my other bikes a lot...

As close as I can get to brown. Had a brown Shogun Chromo400 once, and an older Centurion. Don't see a lot of brown bikes.
Quite possibly the prettiest bike I've owned.
Anyhew.....
