2016 Woodrup touring bike (frame here; bike by the end of the month)
Great - extra encouragement for me to finally finish my 2016 Woodrup custom touring bike.
I'd been wanting a sort of 'extinct early 70s sparkly lime green', but turned out serendipitously gold (one person on the CTC forum said his dad had a Ford Cortina that colour in the early 70s, which is good and commensurate with the flavour I was looking for).
The bike ought to be all built up this weekend finally so ought to be able to get pix within the month (brown Flyer saddle & bar tape, toe straps, etc. so all well within spec for thread. No black anodizing, either - all sliver, brown, & gold!)
In meantime, here are pix that the builder Kevin Sayles made during construction (paint in last ones).
And, maybe, one of the pix here:
(yet another reason to have him build, the pix he made for me - in the same 'lab' that's been the birthplace of thousands of Woodrups over the decades. (the first picture he sent was the tubes, lugs, & dropouts laid on the bench!)
This same workbench can be seen in 'Made in England', a fantastic big picture and interview book of English framebuilders (Including Kevin and another builder who's built one (warning: green) and building another (warning: blue, mine'll be this colour too) for me right now, both Stanforths built by Lee Cooper).
I'll try and get a decent photo shoot after the bike's built and get back here by the end of the Gold & Brown Month!
ps-planning to have my beloved 84 Trek 830 powdercpoated later this year sparkly dark brown - hopefully will remember in 202 to post here! (right now it's spotted purple, blue, & maroon.. not sure what month that is)

No brown bikes here, but a couple of gold ones, both from 1978. My PR10 and a recently acquired $20 Super Course, still in process. I'll probably ditch the lovely Campy crank for an SR triple from Ebay. I have a VGT Luxe RD, not installed yet.

Rather Low End Japanese Bianchi
Rather low end Japanese Bianchi from the early 80's. I've upgraded the original Suntour 7 stuff to Suntour 1st Gen Cyclone and better SR cranks (not shown here), but have all the original equipment so I can return this to original when I sell it (soon). The bike is in minty condition and I do still have the original Bianchi labeled tires that are useable.
