March is for brown and gold bikes
Well, it's Mud Season, so that means brown, and gold can go along with that.
Show us your brown bikes, your gold bikes, and maybe even your brown and gold bikes.
This time I remember I have one. It's a 1973 Raleigh Twenty, unfinished for literally years. I rebuilt both wheels. The front has a Sturmey Archer drum brake hub whose inside are all scrape-y, so I have to smooth that out. The rear wheel has the original AW hub, and both have aluminum rims. I'm switching to a 1" threadless headset. To make it all fit, I need to shorten the head tube. The rear brake doesn't work well, but the front brake is good, a whole lot better than the unconscionably bad original front caliper brake.

Built up this Coffee brown 1969 Super Course as a town bike for a friend, before that it had been sitting in his basement for at least two decades as a neglected road bike.

It's not classic and although it's a 1982 I wouldn't call it vintage either but it IS brown and gold........

Not the prettiest thing but it rides oh so sweet, better than it has any right to. It's getting another overhaul in the next week or so with vintage Suntour XCE drivetrain, a 3 pc. Sakae triple crankset and better Araya rims on Suntour hubs.
