Intersting Wheel

I had a fellow bring me a very interesting wheel the yesterday. Initially, I thought it was from a cart or wagon, but he says it's from a Dumbrille and insists only about 30 years old. The axle currently in it is definitely a bicycle axle.

However, the spokes are made from very heavy (~0.180") steel rod. The rod is formed into a "V" such that each rod forms two radial spokes. The cusp of the spokes appear to be electrofused to the hub. The "heads" of the spokes are peened and electrofused to the steel rim. The wheel assembly appears to have been galvanized, as it has that distinctive white, powder. I don't even want to guess at the weight - it's VERY HEAVY. More curious yet, the rim readily takes a standard 26" ATB tire!
