Tommasini Dominics, what do I have? Pic heavy

Hello,
I picked this up yesterday and am wondering what I have. The seller told me that he bought it a few years ago and thought that it was built by Tommasini for a bike shop in Arizona.
The bike has been repainted and has a few D pantos on the fork as well as the seat stays and rear brake bridge.
The seat post is 27.2 and the fork has original Columbus decals intact along with the "dove" stamped on the steerer tube.
The decal on the frame is a repop, expected since it was repainted etc. I don't recognize the BB shell any clues to the maker?
I did a search on the net and found very little information on the bike, so I thought I would ask members here if any knew what this might be and if it was built by Tommasini?
Best, Ben

Any rifling evident on the interior to the tubing, seat tube, or the bottom bracket shell? Or, is there any indication of the Columbus tubing type in the steerer tube? Not familiar with anything having the "D" logo on the fork crown, but it looks like a nice frame-set. Also, what markings , if any are on the drops?

I'd hope that @repechage, or @T-Mar sees this thread.

Hi Bill,
I will check for the rifling when I start the breakdown....Columbus drops, any idea as to BB? the rear stay brace looks interesting to my uneducated eye.
Best, Ben

Gomango,
Any idea if these were made by Tommasini for the shop in Pheonix?

Those colors remind me of the USC Trojan official school colors which I wanted to paint my Bottecchia with.

Also the D reminds be of the B on Bottecchias

Hi Ben,

I believe they were.

Check with Barb at Tommasini.

I don't recall if Irio actually built the frames or not, but they were made at his shop.

Use the contact link on their homepage, Grady has a great idea. Barbara will get back with you, just give it some time.

Tommasini Cicli

The brake bridge looks similar to the one on my Prestige, just different letters embossed, of course.

We had a thread about that particular shop, in the past. Someone was familiar with the place and had some great links posted.

The name escapes me at the moment but that is a stock, off-the-shelf, bottom bracket shell. The dropouts appear to be Columbus. Stay end treatment at the dropouts does look like Tommasini style. Despite Columbus decal being SL/SP style, the bridgeless bottom bracket shells were typically used on SLX and better framesets, so I would remove the bottom bracket shell and check for helical ridges, inside the ends of the tubes, as previously suggested.
