Still looking for a non-show quailty campy headset.

My understanding is that if you're looking for a coupling nut you'll first need to get a riser pipe out of your ballcock assembly.

It is to somewhat, securely, safely hold the fork in place while storing, moving, packing, shipping etc. when no headset is in place, in other words, yes.

I was trying to get a ball cock to fit a riser I have but it was too hard. The nut for the head just wouldn't fit the screw; maybe the shaft was too rigid? As for mating the coupling to the post, I just said "nuts," the prong wouldn't go in the hole. The plunger rod won't penetrate (and yes, the rubber is lubed.) I'm frustrated and unsatisfied.

I'd call my plumber friend Dick, but he's a bit an ass, so I'll just blow it off, I guess. The whole thing sucks. I'm in over my head
