HUGE Paramount Score!!
I have a friend that is downsizing his collection. His collection ranges from Vintage cruisers to paramounts etc. I was able to purchase three of them as well as a Schwinn Circuit that Steve W took advantage of. These are crazy crazy bikes! All three are very unique and or rare. Still in shock.. Check them out. Click on the video..

Very, very nice.
1. Brake pads on 50th are on backward.
Second bike is crazy nice. Run the serial number on Waterford site to get serial number. If its all original, with the braze ons, its one of the rarest modern Paramounts ever.

If its a Campy freewheel the cogs are titanium. Freewheel takes a very special tool with angled prongs. Any other tool and you'll screw up the freewheel beyond belief. Tools are available on eBay, they're expensive. You can borrow mine if needed.
That '84 is what I'll call a transitional model, I remember correctly, you could only order a custom Paramount. In '83 they were called 'Elite' Paramounts.
And please buy one of those fake seat post clamp things so you don't need to clamp top tubes.
Look inside the RD, there's number cast into the outer plate. What is it? If its 84 its first gen C Record. Is there a cable adjuster on the RD? Remove the Delta front covers, pull up on the bellows thing, how many pivots? 4 or 5?

Yep. Bike number two is super sexy. I'm a sucker for chromed lugs to begin with, but there's a lot to like there.

I believe the derailleur is the second Gen. it has an adjuster, it has a 21 on the inner plate. keep in mind my eyesite sucks. I own some first gens and i can see a difference.
Someone on the Paramount FB page said that the 84 was the first waterford.. not sure if its true.

The "Elites" were introduced in 1981 after the last Chicago Paramounts were completed sometime in 1979. In '83 Waterford introduced the "Standard" Paramount framesets. They were in preset sizes and could be ordered by the Schwinn LBS and then built up by the shop or customer. I own E8337, a Standard, so no chrome lugs, a decal for a head badge, and no lug lining.

Your '84, the silver one, is a completely custom ordered Waterford Paramount. It is known as the "Elite" edition and basically it was designed from the ground up for the person who purchased it. It truly is one of a kind--- and quite the beauty!

The Gardin group hails from Joe Gardin (Italian, Gar-deen) Everything you wanted to know about this fine Canadian bike maker is described here.
That's spectacular.

Good score and good video (I watched more than one).
Those are some rare-find bikes. I removed a new-looking Campagnolo freewheel earlier today by chance, it's all aluminum alloy and I used a Suntour freewheel remover that I modified on my bench grinder to fit. Knock on wood it came right off!
I'll be needing a 15t cog to replace the 2nd-position 14t cog that it was built with, so if you ever need to swap cogs, let me know!
Congratulations on your bike deal!

I'm just watched a video about the 88 Team Wheaties bike and some of the races. That is a stunning Paramount! Question; the number braze on, I thought all the team bikes had them.

Actually the Campy FW cogs are aluminum, and the body is a mix of titanium and aluminum. Definitely use the correct tool to remove. Campy made a whole separate tool kit for servicing those, if you really want to geek out on them....

I was there to witness this epic event, this nirvana inducing experience, the grand haul. It was spectacular and emotional witnessing the instant bonding of man and three perfect , highly collectible machines. The joy on his face as he lovingly stuffed bike parts into various spaces in his little Audi and stopping the car to check one last time before leaving the parking lot to see that the two on the roof were properly secure. It was a once in a lifetime experience I wish I had captured on film. They really are beautiful.

Congratulations....
What.a.score...a once in a lifetime haul to be sure. I especially like your ‘84...as I once owned an 1982 Paramount Elite (serial B8210) you just don’t see many of these bikes around...
Enjoy your new toys!
