I built the lugged frame (pictured below) in 1992 using heavy gage butted Reynolds 531 tubing. It's made for 700c clinchers and cyclocross sewups (NOT FRIGGEN' 29ers). I was having some neck problems at the time and had Salsa build me a special high rise stem.

It has the same geometry as the first off road trekking bike that I built in 1976 for riding in the dirt in the mountains of New Mexico and southern Colorado. Unfortunately that bike got stolen.

The first picture is a faded non-digital photo from when it was new in 1992. Next some details and upgraded cranks. Last is a shot of the cyclocross sewups I used.

I've loved that for a long time. I never would have thought that this scheme works so well, but it does.

Thanks for the compliments. It was my first nice bike and probably will be the last to go.

Is it the bars or the stem? Looks like a very cramped setup. Lovely bike though.

I wanted fairly upright and compact for threading traffic -- it was more the sweep angle & hardness of the original (bone? bakelite?) grips that i couldn't get comfy with, so the bars are gathering dust these days. They have really cool "legnano" logo script, cast in relief on the inner surface of the lever arms...

I thought my color choice for this rather unusual PX10 was based on the light blues and greens that were used by some of the French builders in the first half of the 20th century... but it may be that I was just remembering that beautiful Gran Sport belonging to @due ruote

Yipes! The new software won't allow me to mention due ruote! Is this only me?

Brent, let’s just say great minds think alike - I had the same thoughts about color choices, and focused on green after seeing an especially nice stand of spring meadow grass along the roadside. Which just proves that our bikes belong in this thread.

Sneaking in under the wire. I have a Green bike! The blur is intentional, for artistic effect.

Reference assist, since I'm not sure anyone else noticed. Maybe that wasn't an intended reference? There it is nonetheless. I'm not really a big Pink Floyd fan, but I do like the really early stuff.
