Ross Signature 292s

Hi All. It's been a while since I've logged on, but I finally finished the Ross Signature 292s and wanted to share some pics.
Ishiwata tubing. Shimano Golden Arrow components.

I know a Ross doesn't get many people excited, but of the several dozen bikes I've been through, this is definitely one of the nicest.

I bought this last year for a song. It sat on the bike stand quite a while after disassembling, but I finally put it back together in anticipation of the nice weather. I can't wait to give it a long shakedown ride this week!

It came out very nice! Normally, Ross bikes aren't too exciting, but I believe the Signature models were a step above, both in construction and equipment.

Edit: I just noticed the dealer sticker, made to resemble a famous tubing decal.

Shimano Golden Arrow components (not Schwinn). For the official record. Sweet ride... I've never experienced a Ross or Ishiwata tubing.

I have a 294s that is a fantastic rider. I imagine yours will be as well. Looks great.
I kind of like the fact that they are under the radar bikes. I think of mine as my Everyman ride but it rides like a champ and has very good clearances.

Great! More pics please.

I've never owned or ridden any Ross but have followed the long forum thread on US Ross / history. They are and likely always be under the radar. Values and similar feelings to the ill fated british Viscount. (which I finally did the same as you... Slow but patient rebuild).

Often any of these class bikes can become super by having a fine built and light wheelset.

Man that's in really good shape. Funny you posted one of these. I just watched RJ the Bike Guy's video about transforming one of these into a 1X cross bike. Great video and worth the watch if you're into it.

I have a signature series Kellogg made from 531 and it's a terrific bike. I am guessing yours is too. These were hand built for Ross. Excellent bike!

Nice looking bike! I like the original Ross straps.

I had pretty much an identical model for a while and it had a very nice responsive ride. A very nice frame that is so often overlooked due to the name.

Your Ross turned out really well.
I picked up a 292S a few years back from Goodwill that became for my wife's townie bike. It didn't get a lot of road time so I traded it a few months ago for a Giordana Spica in my size.
