Pending further info and/or photos, the characteristics suggest a mid-1980s model around the transition from entry level to mid-range.

I would say T-Mar nailed it.

Looks like a nice bike, except for those handlebars! What were they thinking?

Vcycleta 04-30-18 10:21 AM

Haven't gotten a chance to look much over the bike, but so far Maillard hubs, rigida wheels, lyotard pedals, solida crank, huret rear derailleur, clb brakes. will get back with pictures.

Thanks very much for posting.

Most of the Lejeune (& Sauvage) bikes we get on the forum range from the late 1960's to the early 1970's so it is interesting to see one which is a bit later.

You will be able to get a specific date for the bike from the Sachs-Huret fittings. They are marked with a four digit number. The first two digits indicate the week of the year and the second two the year.
