Installed my new, black, alloy, sealed-bearing ORIGIN8 headset today. The headset comes with races for BOTH 26.4 AND 27.0. So, fit problem/questions easily solved! It was the 27.0 size.

Used a YouTube DIY hardware-based headset press using a 12"inch x 3/8" threaded rod, fender washers, washers, nylon washers, and flange nuts. Cost Less than $6.00. Rubber mallet for final touch-up.

PVC 1" pipe to install the fork race using a hammer , gravity, and arm muscle.

Boom, done. Then, I installed an Origin8 30-degree black stem. Popped in the naked handlebars. I ran the brake and derailleur lines. The put on my new Shimano reversible pedals. Re-lined the original 700c Araya wheels with Ritchey and installed new Conti tubes and Conti HardShell tires. New tyres for you UK people....Since they are made in Germany....it's new reifen....

Seat goes on this week plus a new power system. Going from 14-26 (6) to 11-30 (7). Stay tuned!
