Serial #

Hello,
I have an old bicycle, which my mechanic says is from the thirties or sixties due to the width of its tires. The label at the front is missing, but it does have a serial number on the frame below the saddle. This is:
73917
I had a look at images of Philips bikes and some look similar in the twisted bars of the carrier. How can I be sure it is a Philips and not a Raleigh bicycle?
My mechanic has several old metal labels for the front of the bike and I like to attach one, but do not like to attach the wrong badge.
Thanks

Start by posting some photos along with closeups of the lugs and "interesting details" here.

Go to the Advanced Editor, and click on the paper clip "Attachments" icon. https://www.bikeforums.net/images/editor/attach.gif Upload JPG images somewhere around 100 to 200 kb or so.

Can you tell if the original badge was riveted on. What is the rivet pattern? That may give you some clues about the proper headbadge.
