Second bottle cage

Well, on an early morning ride at the Outer Banks yesterday, I finally figured out why I added that second bottle cage to my near vintage Cannondale!

Could be part of a "it was so hot....." story.

Yum! Definitely not hot enough to cook those in the can.

Where OBX? I am down for the long weekend, but don't have a second bottle cage :(
I don't think I passed you but OBX is a loooooong island (chain) and I can only handle maybe 15 miles less into that headwind.

We are at Milepost 21, leaving tomorrow, been here two weeks. I rode 26 miles today, seemed like a headwind both ways! I think riding at home in the mountains is easier...

Hope you have good weather and a nice time. Jeff

Hope you didn't hit the torrential rain! We lucked out and missed most of it.

I was wondering what mileposts I was riding by, so I looked it up and Hatteras Ferry is mile 71, but they stop putting up posts at Nags Head, so at least I'm not that unobservant. What a great place to visit, but now to get the sand out of everything, including the bike.

Ahhhh Hahhhh! More C&V re-purposing! Well done Jeff and what a great after ride treat!

I’ve rode Ocracoke Island in prior years and am always amazed at how difficult flat terrain riding can be , the winds are tough.

I began getting the 4wd ready for the 1,600 mi one way road trip to Ocracoke. We be there the first 2 weeks in July.
