This thing is 10 years old and I believe @sykerocker is still making good use of it. The original thread is a good laugh, if you enjoy bad puns.

Hope I'm not too late with this "Reynolds 531 Frame Tubing" decal. Found it on my Jacques Anquetil.

I worked at a Peugeot-Nishiki dealership, and those 531 stickers at the top of the PX-10 and PR-10 seat tubes were extremely vulnerable to destruction in shop stands. We made it store policy to clamp these bikes from the top tube, even though this positioned some of the larger framed ones much lower than even the shortest mechanics would prefer.
My Siegers are full double-butted 531, but one is a repaint and the other has the Reynolds decal covered by a bike license, which I somehow suspect was put there by a bike shop to conceal Reynolds 531 decal mayhem.

I have a number of original multi-layer Reynolds transfers, but unfortunately not the French language version.

Here's the full bike SurferRosa.
Nearly 8 years to get to 531 posts. A very small fraction of the thousands of posts I've read and learned from. Thanks to all who contribute.
Cheers.

1982 Bertin C79-SSC. I'm going to be parting with this frame or bike... Getting rid of bike that I don't ride regularly.
