Yeah, in the back they can interfere with bags, feet and legs- I had an MTB with wide profile LX Cantis- and always managed to kick or catch the brake when mounting/dismounting the bike.

In my brake collection pic- you’ll see both a set of XT M732s and a set of M900 XTR Cantis- my secret plan for that “someday” bike is to have the M732s in the front and M900s in the back. :D

There’s plenty of people that’ll say it’s just an old, obsolete bike. You have one of the classiest, top of the line touring bikes from the peak of the golden age of touring bikes.

If this is something you’re into- it would be very difficult for you to look for and acquire a much “better” bike, regardless of budget.

i cant speak to other bikes of the era, but I have already found so much enjoyment in this one and I’m not sure how another will top this bike. But I am certainly willing to try
