Help with buying correct tire

Hello, i have a question I currently have the following rims
Alex rims
AL-VP15F
6061-T6

Tioga Tires size 20 X 1 3/8

My question is , if i buy a 20 X 1.75 size tire, will it fit or work for a short fix so i am able to ride today ?

Don't look at those size numbers find the ISO (on the sidewall of the original tires) fractional tire sizes can be deceiving -you might end up with English 3 speed tires for your mountain bike as an example, ask me how I know :D Great article by Sheldon the Brown here - scroll down for table

No it won't fit, not anywhere close in size. Sheldon Brown site explains it.

As a general rule, decimal tire sizes are never the same as fraction tire sizes expressing the same width. In other words, x 1.5 will never be the same as x 1 1/2.

And by the way, 1 3/8 is nowhere near the same as 1.75.
