Toronto and Vernon Cyclops Bicycles..?

I have been lucky enough to own, build up and ride this beautiful Cyclops. It is one of the nicest riding bikes to come my way. Sadly, the bitter sweetness of it is that, a few days ago, I spent quite a bit to buy this(on Father's Day but the deal with Mrs. Me is that I have to try to sell the bike, the operative word, in my estimation, being "try")...

That black beauty is in great shape, as are the Campy components. Until riding this bike, I preferred Shimano Brifter systems, but not anymore. This bike shifts extremely well, however...

It was not made in Toronto, where I thought all Cyclops bikes came from. Nope, this one was made in Vernon, BC - information new to me,,,

Mike Mullholland "semi-retired" to Vernon for a while, before returning to Ontario and passing away in 2005.

randyjawa-

After Mike returned from Vernon, he relocated to the Lowbanks area near Dunnville, ON. My brother and I visited him there a couple of times for frame work and he was always a gentleman, creative, knowledgeable and insightful. You have a great treasure.

A Cyclops and a Le Croco have been on my Grail list for N. American Bikes for a long Time. I have a Le Croco "on it's way" and next will be the Cyclops.
Randy that Black one is special.

What am I going to do with two Cyclops bicycles..? The black one is up for grabs on the For Sale forum, as is my first Cyclops. They both go on Ebay in the next day or so. One will remain with me but one must find a new home. Which one would you keep?

They're two noticeably different sizes. You keep the one which fits you better.

Good advice, however; I am shorter now than when I bought the blue Cyclops. Both are fine and comfortable for me to ride, believe it or not. That said...

The blue Cyclops will be on its way to Toronto soon. Sold it an hour ago and that black beauty is now a keeper. Think I will go for a ride as soon as the technicians show up to replace my hot water heater. It sprung a leak yesterday and now I am trying to get that sorted out.

My new Cyclops, which from this day forward will be referred to as a Cyclops Mount Vernon...
