Not sure if you are allowing non-drop bar.....but this has a very sporty frame and could easily become a drop bar bike. 1952 Paff.

This is my April 1951 Hobbs of Barbican Sportsweight (lugless), built from an Accles and Pollock Kromo tubeset it was purchased in 1951 from Hobbs by my Wife's Father for a tour of the Loire valley with his sister on a similar machine - I have hers too.

Not completely original in this image but now pretty much original: Bayliss Wiley 32h front hb (NoS), Sturmey Archer 4 speed (40h), GB spearpoint stem & randonneur bar, Brookes B15, domed alloy seatpin with Ideale clamp - purchased in France to replace the original that fell apart on the tour. Lytaloy seatpost clamp. NoS Weinmann rims, NoS Bluemels mudguards, Williams C34 (rechromed, not shown here) chainset. Universal brakeset with period levers (not shown here).

This HoB has the rare brass and glass enamel headbadge, one of the nicest badges see on any machine.

Components in italics are original.

I've been pining for a sporty '50s bike for a while. Every time this thread comes up I look through every post since they're all just so lovely.

I think this or the "Show us your French Bikes" thread are my all time favorites on this forum. No coincidence that the French thread has a lot of bikes from this era too
