potential cool trek 420
saw this at the co-op today. the guy says 50.00 as is. needs a chain for sure and the headset felt a little loose but all in all a nice 24" bike. btw measured 24 to the top of top tube.

Heck, you might be able to get $50 just for that crankset alone- same BCD as the Stronglight 99 and some of the Sugino Apex cranks.

^^^^ +1, that's a yummy crankset. Last of the pre-fastbacks. Shoot, is that a Jim Blackburn seat-stay rack? Those went for $30 back in the day, when a dollar went a lot further. That bike is a steel steal.
Looks like someone swapped in a cheapo seat post. Probably would have had an SR Laprade stock.

I paid double that to get a 420 here in Seattle and thought I was getting a deal as old treks rarely show their face for less the $200 in these parts and yours looks to be in better shape. Well done sir.
