Univega Competizione Question

I am considering purchasing a Univega Competizione. The bike comes with Suntour Symmetric down tube shifters, but it has Dura Race front & rear derailleurs. Were the Dura Race bits stock? The seller claims he is the original owner, & the bike came with them. I thought the Competizione came with Suntour Superbe derailleurs, but I can't find any definitive info online.

Thanks!

Bikes: Wow, where to start? A collection of 1980's and early 90's road, touring, and MTBs from the likes of Trek, Schwinn, Cannondale, Fuji, Miyata, Univega, Panasonic, and GT. It has gotten rather out of control.

I had a 1982. That year came with Suntour Cyclone MKII. Here is a link to a Univega catalog site. You can use this to research a bit. They are fantastic bikes with a high-end Tange Champion frame made by Miyata. https://univegacatalogs.wordpress.com/

If it has the brazed-on, top mount, Symmrtric shifters, then the OEM derailleurs were SunTour. However, they could have bee Cyclone or Sun Tour, depending on the model year. The serial number many allow us determine the OEM derailleurs.
