That color in Khmer/Cambodian is ពណ៌ទឹកថ្នាំប៊ិច which sounds like poa tuk thnam bich which means pen ink color. It is supposed to be a match of the original color which was found under the FD clamp. Looks a bit brighter.

I will see tomorrow when I pick it up.

100000 reil is only $25 for automotive paint and 2 day turn around.

Wow. I'll be happy if I can get it done for under $500.

So I picked up the frame today and it is definitely a $25 paint job. Some missed spots and a few heavy spots. But it is much better.

More Pictures, Stem Original Zunow, Bars are Some Randoneur bars possibly GB. Headset a $5 Stronglight Roller bearing set with New Bearings from C&V Sales. 5500 series Shimano brakes.
Seat post from the Box of Crap V7.

Brooks Flyer from Ebay and the seat bag from C&V sales forum

I have Shimano 105 series 5500 stuff for this, RD (both long and short cage), FD, 2 and 3 ring Cranksets and Bottom Brackets, 2x9 brifters or 2/3x9 barcons and I have a new 12-36 9 speed Shimano cassette to mate with 45-48 chain rings for a nice half step setup.
Brake levers are on the way, DT shift levers are lost and looking for another set of 9 speed Dura-Ace DT levers. I also have 36h 5500 hubs and am deciding on the rims and spokes I would like, probably Sun Cr18s with double butted SS spokes. I will be looking for a set of Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires in 28mm.

Weighed the bike today minus the brake levers and FD but with the Brooks tool bag on the saddle and it came out to 18.5 lbs in this config

Only with the new paint.

Hmm, well, I dunno. That might be a problem. I guess I'd go ahead and build them up, though.

Are eyelets missing from both rims? If so, is there a possibility of moving some from one rim to the other? I think I'd like to have the rear wheel have all its eyelets. The front is less likely to need them.

Looks great and should be a fun ride. Nice work and persistence.

But, gosh, is that your house or a typical one in the neighborhood? Tall iron fence and double concertina wire! Not just a style thing, huh?

I do envy the warm weather.

No worries about bike theft, behind that fence

And, BTW, the bike turned out beautiful - Good job on an amazing transformation!

Also curious about how she rides. No doubt a great save. How bad was that rust on the DS CS?

So glad this one got saved. Is the stem a Cinelli 1A or actually made by Zunow?

Thanks, it is a fun ride. Not typical with 2 rows of Concertina but most have some sort of top of wall jaggyness, i.e. broken glass bottles embedded in the concrete.

The best ride I have ridden ever, it just wants to go fast.

The concertina wire is fairly common, most Khmer are afraid for their things, that some thief will come along and kill them for their stuff.

The ride is wonderful. lightest bike I have and at 25 lbs it is still heavier than many weight weenies.

Not sure of the maker of that stem, just that it came with the bike and was marked thusly.
