What Basso do I have?

I got my second Basso yesterday. And yes its brightly colored. I can't find anything on it to tell me what model it is. I was hoping you guys, and girls can help. Here is what I know. It is all Schimano 105. The front derailleur is clamp on style. The rear hub is Schimano but the front was replaced with a Doda. Shifter cables run under the BB, not thru or over. The rims are Mavic Reflex Sup's. There is a small remnant of a tubing decal on the seat post, it is gold with blue edging, I assume Columbus? Brake cable routing is external with 3 mounts on the top tube. It has a Miche stem and Cinelli bars. Unknown pedals. Two water bottle cages. Campagnolo seat post bolt and Basso dropouts. The first number of the serial number is 9 so I guess it is a 1989 model? I have looked online and have not had any luck finding any exactly like mine. The closest I have come are the multi colored ones. I have only found two in my color and they both have Campagnolo group sets not Schimano. Anyone know for sure what model this is? Also curious as to the color. I see it on the Loto's with black and white, or Yellow and Grey, but almost none in just the Fushia color. Is this color uncommon, or rare for Basso's?

That's a Basso Gap. The name Gap comes from the stage in the TDF that one of the Basso brothers won. I think it was Marino.

Its a fairly high end Italian bike with a good reputation and it was the standard Basso model. They are made of Columbus SL tubing. I have one and love the ride. It is a quick rider and always urges me to go faster.

I'm not sure the Shimano 105 was standard, but I could be wrong. Mine has the Shimano 600 on it and that's usually what I see when they have a Shimano group on them. As far as the color, my guess is its normal. Mine is 2 tone and one of the colors is very close to yours or perhaps a bit darker.

+1, it's a Basso Gap with Columbus SL. The serial number indicates it was manufactured in 1989 but it could be a 1989 or 1990 model. It has the 7 speed version of Shimano New 105 which was 1989 only, so it's period correct. Most of these were imported as framesets and custom built by dealers from a variety of Shimano and Campagnolo groups, to suit customer preferences and price points. Consequently, you see a wide variety of components.
